Pocatello Lung & Sleep Clinic
Our board certified pulmonologists have expertise in a broad range of adult lung disorders such as COPD, chronic severe asthma, and unusual lung diseases such as sarcoidosis. Lung specialists are also responsible for investigating abnormal findings on chest x-rays or chest CT scans, evaluation of shortness of breath, or chronic cough. In addition to caring for patients in the hospital with more severe or complicated lung problems, our specialists are often the primary physician caring for extremely ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Although pulmonologists do not perform surgery they perform endoscopy of the lungs and bronchial tubes (bronchoscopy) and other non-surgical procedures related to the lungs such as thoracentesis (removing fluid from around the lung with a needle and catheter).
